+1 Anyone who does not have a blast hanging out with Maki (and Jong) must not have a pulse. You guys are hilarious!!! Not like that Gard guy....
And Jauqo, as always, you are quite the gentleman and I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with you both at the Bass Bash and at NAMM. Thanks again for turning me on to those H-B basses (and for including me in the ride home from the Bass Bash on Friday!).

Wow, the beer at Schmitt's was way too good (the Crown too). It was truly terrifying to hear Maki's conversation with Jay Terrian. He is really not a proud man

Awesome! Those basses really are amazing. I was highly impressed with both the technology behind them and also the resulting instrument.

So thats what these are... couldn't help but rinse my eye looking at them in the NAMM picture thread.
Guess Tom's still upset about LSU whuppin' up on his Buckeyes... (I will be in touch about the mag, soon)

NAMM and the Bass Bash were a blast.
Here are the highlights:
- Maki is one helluva fun guy to hang with. Hang out with him and you sense that a Benny Hill moment can happen at anytime. Yakety Sax will start playing and a crowd of pissed off folks chase after you.
- Bowlus got some Asian @$$ to take home as a momento of the occasion.
- I got to touch Jady's moob.
- Maki came home one night to find that I had run off with his wife and kid.
- Gard got to talk to someone wearing his face on a T-shirt.
- Jauquo stalked me all throughout NAMM. Wherever I'd go, all I'd have to do was turn my head and there he was. Good thing I had my shank on me in case he was trying to steal my licks.

I got there in time to see Brian Bromberg on Friday night. He takes the Aebersold Playalong CD concept to a whole nudder level!
I was looking for special TalkBass stickers or nametags, but didn't see any. Would have liked to say hello and put a face to the (fake) names here on TB!
Hopefully this event will happen again next year, and hopefully I will score another free ticket to NAMM. Thanks to the guys who put this bass show on! Lots of fun!
