Nash or Modern Vintage ?

once you get to a point, it is more about having a good setup.
True, but excellent woods, hardware, pickups/electronics, neck shape, weight and finish do, IMHO, conspire to produce a more satisfying instrument. My NASH resonates really well. It weighs only 8.3 lbs and the Lollar Pups sound sweet. It balances better than my Fenders. It just has that certain "something". Regarding setup, I did have to have the nut slots cut a bit lower, but after that it was good to go and it stays in tune amazingly well. Very stable neck.
