Oh yeah, where's Harden? I saw an article that says he's getting too worn out on D vs. Miami to score a lot. I don't know, LeBron and Wade play good D (esp. James at this stage) and it obviously doesn't hamper their scoring.
I turned game three off after Durrants fourth ticky-tac foul call in the third. The fix is in folks, get ready for the coronations and four or five years of King James BS. Durrant has been in foul trouble in all three games while James, one of the most physical threes ever, somehow never fouls anyone in a big game. Sterns gonna get his outcome sadly, and OK doesn't have the kind of veteran leadership to overcome it. It reminds me of Sac-LAL in 2002. It really is sad what this game has become.

I want OKC to win. I am FAR from a Heat fan. That being said, Sunday's game was not decided by any fix, however. Anyone that watched the game and is calling foul is a fool, IMO. OKC folded. They shot like ass from the line, and Miami killed from the line. As the fourth dwindled, there were multiple horrible shot attempts by the Thunder. They choked, and Miami outplayed them. Plain and simple.
I know, such a story clashes with the pretty shade of tinfoil you like to wear Steve, but it is what it is. Miami outplayed Oklahoma City, and they won. Just as they should have.

All True, I actually won't argue. I am not saying by any means that OK deserved to win. Miami outplayed them and deserved it no question. All I'm saying is OK best player has been in foul trouble every @#$%#% game while LBJ never seems to foul anyone. One teams superstars are playing under a different set of rules than the other teams stars.

Agreed. There were some bad calls, but nothing like the 2002 King-Lakers or 2006 Heat-Mavericks, both of which were abominations that came very close to making me write off the NBA as unwatchable forever. I am heartened to see stuff like [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] being discussed, but if another 2002 or 2006 scenario unfolds, I feel certain that I will write the NBA off for a few years at least. Fortunately, I have seen nothing like that in this series so far, and was pleased to see Wade make an epic flop attempt that got no call in the game. When he flops, which is basically every other time he takes a shot, the Thunder have to make the Heat pay in transition. I can recall several times in the last game where the Thunder turned the ball over in transition after a Wade flop, which led to Wade getting an open layup - because when he flops, he stops to take time to whine at the refs, which makes him the last man down the court defensively. The Thunder screwed up these opportunities in the last game, and need to take advantage of them tonight and moving forward. They should have a category for "flop/whine transition", and practice it.
I'll give ya That. But that's been an NBA issue for as long as I can remember. The superstars always get the nod. In a few years, Durant will be rewarded in much the same way, once he establishes himself as a true superstar.

*Durant finished Game 1 with 2 fouls. That's foul trouble?
*In Game 2, James had 4 fouls. Durant had 5. The difference? Durant had a bonehead backcourt foul in the 2nd half.
*If the fix was in, Durant would have been DQ'd in Game 2 when he and Battier collided on a Durant drive with a couple minutes left. Instead, the superstar got the call in a 50/50 situation.

I don't think the fouls are a huge discrepancy, but there are FOR SURE a lot of phantom calls, and who can tell me what does/doesnt' constitute a charge anymore? The refs are over-calling every game, and they seem to have decided who they are going to try and foul out before the opening jump.
Bron bron plays by a different set of rules every night. He travels/palms the ball on most every drive, but the NBA doesn't call that on stars anymore. Durant just has to wait until next year to get his golden ticket, too.

I guess this would make sense. Miami is fast and athletic, but also a much bigger team; D'ing up those guys would wear you down more than D'ing up a bunch of small quick guys

I agree the games are being overcalled. But puh-leez, travels and palms haven't been called regularly for at least 30 years. That's got nothing to do with LeBron.
Fair point. The Heat have two guys who are both top-10 players and among the best take-it-to-the-hole guys in the NBA, and they generally win when they take advantage of that.
Guys like that are also much more likely to draw fouls than players who settle for jumpers too often. Don't try telling that to the "It's not faaaaiiiiirrrr, LeBron's getting all the calls
" crowd, though.

When you get two quick ones in the first quarter and sit out almost the entire first half it is. The same thing happened in game 7 of the Detroit-San Antonio Series. Both Chauncy, Sheed and Ginobli had to sit significant minutes due to early ticky-tac foul calls.
Nice to see burk spreading his sports conspiracy theories around the NBA thread too. The NHL season is over, so time to badger you NBA guys.
