NBD! 2004 Butterscotch American Standard P-Bass

NBD! (technically it was last weekend,but I've finally put it down long enough to take some pictures). I never understood the appeal of American vs Mexican Fenders due to the price, but I traded in 11 pedals and was able to get this one for under $200. I loved the way it sounded at Guitar Center through the little Rumble practice amp and sounds massive through my GK 700rb II and GK 4x10. Put some black strap-locks on it and am about to put some flats on it and be in low-end heaven!

One question... Any idea how I might get this grimy-looking stuff off the pickguard? I tried some lemon oil which helped a little, but not much.

Looks great in that color!

Try Goo Gone. It's for removing stickers, labels, and the adhesive residue they leave behind.
Walmart carries it.
Turtle Wax makes a similar product.

It looks as though there's still a clear plastic coating on the pickguard. If you've already peeled one off, do not be too surprised if there's another. It has happened to me.

I am enjoying it quite a bit. I may also be the only one that likes the S-1 switch.

Actually it looks like none of the strings are correctly installed. The string should wind down towards the ferrule.

Sweet deal! If you can't clean the pickguard up, throw a 3ply B/W/B on it. The while outline will set it off!
