NBD- 2015 Lake Placid Blue American Precision (ADE Content)

Right...but why is there no upcharge for it if they're shooting a colour solely for this series? No other US gets a poly LPB finish...the Ensenada MIM Standards do, though.

Well, if you look at the ADE site, you can get either alder or ash body in any of the colors that they offer, and some of those colors aren't offered on other MIA models (LPB, silverburst, sunset metallic....only one that I know of is available on an MIM bass), so my guess is they shoot finish to order for some, and have some ready to go for others. And, the base price of the ADE basses are $150 more than an American Standard, so perhaps there's the upcharge for finish work.

Of course, the only way to know for sure is to call Fender.

That's a pretty tiny upcharge for a custom colour and custom options. :P Still like $2000 Canadian, but I'd pay it. Have any Canadians tried getting one, yet? I'm curious, as I recently designed this drool-fest.
