NBD- '51 Reissue Precision

Yeah, I think she'd look even better with a white pickguard(but that's my opinion).

Like this?

Yeah, I think she'd look even better with a white pickguard(but that's my opinion). And I'll take'er off your hands too if you think the bass is not for you. I wouldn't mind another one that's not "mango/schoolbus yellow".

I had the Mango version. They are very nice instruments. The necks are phenomenal! I love your bass and would not change a thing on it!

I'm considering replacing the electronics completely with cloth wiring, vintage cap, CTS pots, Nordy pup, and sheilding. (I'll save the old harness and pickup for posterity).

I like cloth wiring for some reason. :ninja:
Edit: Maybe a bakelite guard too.
Edit again: And maybe some covers...

Don't change the pickup. You'll regret it.

I tried a few aftermarket pickkups in my '51 RI P but went back to the OEM. I simply liked the OEM pickup better.

I've found find that in some positions the noise was minimized if that's really and issue but I as long as there isn't neon signage or dimmers on the stage it's usually acceptable in our usual gig setting.

Then again, if you gig with someone who plays a Strat or Tele you could probably blame them for any noise. :)
