NBD '74 Fender Precision

Over the weekend I had a gig in Depew NY, a 2 hour drive from Rochester with the snow. I made arrangements with a seller from Buffalo on marketplace to meet me at the venue, he turned out to be a super nice guy and just as nuts about bass as I am. He was asking 2k for this beautiful 1974 sunburst/ maple Precision all original except for the pickguard. The bass is nice and light at 8lbs 1oz and the pickup sounds amazing, easily one of the best sounding and playing Precisions I own ( I own a 74 black/maple, 69 hippie refin, and two 70s fretless) This bass really made my day, I used it for our last number and man it did not disappoint!

Along with black and maple, that’s my favorite look in a Fender Precision. Glad to hear it has a sound to match. Enjoy

Nice score! I landed a 71' P bass awhile back and Love it! 70's Fenders get a bad rap but there are some gems too be had! I cannot or will not pay >6K for a 60's Fender. ( I can't afford it!)
