As someone who has an affinity for delightfully tacky things, I think the PG should stay. Real men have chainsaw-wielding zombie/vampire hybrids on their pickguards.

No, by all means keep it...just not on the bass.

That pickguard probably saved you at least a hundred bucks on the price, so put it a place of honor somewhere. like a basement closet.

If you don't have a basement, bury it in the crawlspace under the house.
