Only took me 45 years, but I am officially an Alembic owner. Picked up this incredible 1988 Spoiler this morning. Spent most of its life as a case queen. Still wearing it original strings. Could use a set up, but otherwise it's pretty near flawless.

Very nice indeed, congratulations and enjoy playing it. :bassist:

I am somewhat an Alembic tragic, I have one that's 30 years old and a new one on the way. I love the sound and playability and seriously I own some pretty awesome basses but the Alembic is king.

I think it's the clean sound, no noise from the electronics and it covers a lot of different styles. Looking forward to getting mine in the next couple of weeks.

Dreamy! If I ever had the cash, I would get a Spoiler myself, not least because the people that make them are so cool. Many moons ago, as a 19-year-old with no business coming anywhere near those instruments, my equally wide-eyed young friend and I got a personal tour of the Alembic facility, even got to play one of Lenny Kravitz's basses. I hope you feel really good about your Alembic acquisition, because they have class

They really are something special. I could see it quickly becoming my number one.

Back in the 90's, I almost picked up a pre-owned Alembic Exploiter. I thought it was a bit overpriced at the guitar shop that had it. Now I kind of wish I had just plunked down the cash when I had it. I don't lose sleep over it though. I still have a very nice bass that has been with me since long before then.
Hey, beautiful Spoiler you have there. Congratulations!
