A few weeks ago they had an insane deal on "last years" Vintera series. I missed it but I kept checking everyday, trying different ways to search the site and a deal showed up again so I jumped on it.

That looks fabulous with the pearloid PG. I hope it plays and sounds just as good!

I almost pulled the trigger on that sale, even though I'm a short scale guy. Figured I could flip it for a profit. In the end I decided not to for 2 reasons:

1. Somebody who really wanted that bass deserved the deal.
2. I was afraid I'd end up keeping it (but that would be hard to pull off with the Mrs.), and I already have all the basses I need.

I have a friend with a Strat in that finish with a pearl pickguard. It is his #1. It looks and sounds great. I concur with the OP's new bass. Rock on!

Damn, I wanted to get in on that deal but by the time I went to look, they were back up to full price. Since I mainly play P's and I already own the Squier Late 60's jazz bass in LPB, I couldn't justify the higher price. Even though a Firemist Gold Jazz is dope!

Yep. It fits perfectly except the two holes center top. I just carefully drilled two very small pilot hole in the body in the center of the pickguard holes and then screwed in the screws. The Pickguard came with screws but I didn't need them so now I have extras.
