NBD: Antigua "Puke Burst"

It is a cool finish. My only minor qualm is not that the pickguard is bad, but that it seems tailored to it, so choosing another pickguard might be fine, but doesn't feel "true Antigua", for lack of a better term. But my opinion does not matter.

I do not have that bass but briefly considered it. Absolutely fine, never understood why the Internet Groupthink deemed it "unworthy." If you love it, it's great-it won't be a "puke-burst" to you. Do not mind what random people on the Internet think (INCLUDING myself); play what YOU love, and whatever inspires you.

Well I never though I would be buying a Squier Precision. I've got lots of Fender Precisions from Japan, USA and Mexico but I've been gassing for a version in Antigua.
The original USA ones from the 70s are approaching $3000 in not great condition and rarely seen in these parts while the MIJ reissues seem to be even harder to find.
But then I saw the Squier Classic Vibe '70s version. Unfortunately, it was only available in North America at the Chicago Music Exchange.
Not available in Canada. Pity. I know it's not an exact reproduction of the original but it's as close as I could find.
I figured that this may be my only chance to get an Antigua bass so I managed to finagle one although CME did not want to ship to Canada.
Yes it's butt kicking ugly but it plays pretty good compared to all the other Precisions I own (although I would love to find a MIJ maybe one day).

That burst pickguard just look weird for me...... maybe need others pickguard

I like it! No room for another P bass in my stable, but yeah! BTW, I think Wildwood is an uglier Fender finish.
