NBD! At last a p bass adoption

For quite some time I’ve wanted to add a precision to my lineup and the day has finally come. After a happy trade of an old harmony and rogue mandolin I came home happily with this 95 MIM standard. I’m really loving the neck and the low end beef that this bass lays down. The only thing that I was shocked by was the fact that la bella flats it came with were a real disappointment… I had always wanted to play a set because I’ve only heard wonderful things but they really just sounded dull and muddy to my ears. I restrung with my usual Ernie ball flats and BAM there it was, all of the missing articulation and artifacts in the middle of the soundscape that were non existent with the labellas. Anyway, I’m loving this bass a ton! Also I can’t quite figure out what the color is. I thought it was Candy Apple but it’s much brighter and “orangier” I’m certain light. I have heard of chrome red by fender but never really seen it in person.

I have an 04' American series Precision Bass in chrome red and that looks very close.
