Hi guys

Would you place the tone closer to hi-fi or old-school?

I’ve been looking very seriously at these

I played one in a shop and it was not hifi (the strings were worn in! shop wear,but not dead!)

Plug in and play, gets you a nice "80s P bass on steroids" grawling Heavy Metal sound.

A little bit of eq and you get into "round and mellow" without getting too muddy.

Like Tony already mentioned:The B string is dry like a good Martini should be!!! (at least for a 34')

19 mm string spacing is my thing too….


I have all that covered with my Sandis, otherwise…..

Go and try one!!!!

Oh, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I will crunch the numbers and determine when, but this is no longer an if for me \m/

Ok so over all this is a great instrument and especially for for the price.

I have 1 criticism
-The tuner posts are really small. I had one hell of a time dealing with a .126 B-string. They are almost like guitar tuners.
Instead of Grovers I would have gone with the import version Hipshot.

Yeah a painted headstock would be nice but its only cosmetic.

The 19mm spacing does not feel necessarily 19 (if that makes sense), it feels to me a touch tighter which I prefer, but its not a deal breaker. At this point I would rather have 19 over 17 if giving the option between the two. 18mm spacing is perfect to me.

Overall for everything this bass and what it costs.
I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I don't really want to take a chance on flying with a check in Lull after dealing with damage before with the airlines. So I pickup import purely on specs. The ESP AP-5 was in the lead so I picked one up and it actually great.

One of the best 34" B-strings I heard (not sure if its partially due to the Babicz, bridge or not, but I'm guessing its taking a major roll in that).


This bass is a complete sleeper.

Curious to try one of these. So do the EMGs not sound thin? Every budget ESP I've tried, has had a very weak, thin, and wiry preamp. Yours just has basics, but still active. I like a really full sound, but able to roar if needed. I'm curious....

Hello...These pickups are straight up EMGs Vol-Bal-passive tone. Same thing if you bought then from them.

They sounds great to me and I’m cannot put my name to it unless it sounds great. ( this is coming from someone that usually plays Mike Lull basses loaded with Nordstrands).

They sounds great to me and I’m cannot put my name to it unless it sounds great. ( this is coming from someone that usually plays Mike Lull basses loaded with Nordstrands).

I diceded to just take one with me and I’m selling the other one here on TB.

I did think about your approval, being a Lull user and all, so that says a lot. Aside from Warrior and MTD USA, Lull was the only other bass that blew me away at NAMM.
