NBD: BC Rich USA Warlock

Here it is. Found it with the hard case for under $200. Have no idea how it plays or sounds. It needs a cleaning, new strings, a setup and the edges of the frets dressed from fingerboard shrinkage.

Grover tuners, Dimarzio pickups (I think), Badass bridge. A few chips in the paint. Overall not in bad shape for a bass nearly 30 years old. I have sent an email to BC Rich asking for date of manufacture and any history they can provide.

Got it home and plugged it in. Everything works but the pots are scratchy. I need to get some deoxit and see if I can clear that up. Was not able to get to Guitar Center for new strings, maybe tomorrow. The current tone is similar to the bass from Sugarloaf's Green Eyed Lady, usable but I do not like the strings.

This thing has been sitting for a while, evidenced by the dust that's collected on it in various places. I'll tear it down tomorrow and and give it the once over.

Also, it's heavy!

Got it cleaned up and put new strings on. I wanted to give the truss rod a little tweak but came to find that it is the nut type and not the allen wrench type and I had nothing that would fit it.

Anyone know what might work?

gibsons take a 5/16 in. socket, maybe bc rich copied that?

That site isn't as frisky as this one, but if it's been a delay of more than a few days, I'd be surprised. They'll get back to you. The knowledge base there is pretty deep, and they were helpful to me when I was looking for info.

10 won't do it, it has to go to 11 (ST reference).
