So there has been this fiesta red CV P-bass at my local music store for about a year and a half. i usually play it, amongst others, when i go test out amps. its been a great sounding little bass through all the amps and cabs i have tried... so my wife says shes taking the macys card, and i can have $400 to go buy a bass
You dont have to twist my arm, so i promptly went to the store and picked it up. the bass plus a set of chrome flats for $399.50 otd!

its got some pretty sweet flame in the neck and headstock

Nice, but if you know for a fact it was hanging on the wall for over a year, you can often gently ask for a better price.

My right-hand P-bass was $200 cheaper just because I asked nicely (and the salesman admitted in convo it was on the wall for 3 years).

Well done . I favor my CV 60's Precision over my American Stingray. Both are great but that classic Pbass thump with flats is The Bass tone as far as my ears are concerned. I like TI Flats on mine .

My '62 has nice high action like that- some people prefer it that way for better tone. But, to each his own I guess.

Yeah the new strings sat very high, a quick crank on the truss rod an it was all fixed
