That silver Sabre Classic on Reverb is pretty tempting.

Not to derail the thread, but if you are looking at the Sabre that is being sold by The Music Zoo...that was mine. I can tell you that it is a fantastic bass in mint condition. I ended up buying a '78 Music Man Stingray, that's the only reason why I got rid of it.

The first StingRay I ever played was an Inca Silver ‘78. Unfortunately the silver “greens” with age. Very cool bases though, probably one of the best ever.

@LowEndLobster - did your Classic case have a red label (that said Stingray, Stingray Classic, etc.)? My case had that spot blank (it is definitely a Music Man case, it just does not have the glued on label near the handle). Was wondering if this is because it is a PDN special, fell off, etc.

Uh.... I think it just says Stingray. I dunno, I have like 7 EBMM cases LOL

I made the "mistake" of playing a Sterling $249 GC Used when I was there two weeks ago and it checked all the boxes. Massive, tight low end. Might need to get one.

My Classic also has a highly figured neck that is simply stunning in the light. I just went over the video; these things really do sound good. I really ought to find a better home for this unused bass.

Made the mistake of watching @LowEndLobster and his videos on the EBMM Stingray Classic. This is the result:

2013 Stingray Classic in Sledge (the Tony Levin PDN model). Played it out this Saturday and love it.

P.S. It also weighs under ten pounds!
