I hit a few pawn shops today and picked up a bass I've wanted since the late 80's. A MIJ Fender Jazz Bass Special aka The Duff GnR bass.
The color is well....very 80's. I'm 42. I couldn't care less if it's hot pink. And yes. It's hot pink. Not salmon. Not reddish. Not chartreuse. It's hot damn pink.

Now the important stuff. It's light as a feather. It has the TBX controls and plays and sounds great.

Good thing our band is doing a few Iron Maiden and Judah Priest covers. This bass will fit right in. I can't wait for rehearsal tonight. The comments should be great. For $200 I couldn't resist.

Razberry is the color name, I had one a few years back, I got mine on ebay for $250 shipped,but $200 is a steal. Also those knobs are incorrect.

BTW, did Fender ever explain why a P-shaped body with P/J pickups is a Jazz Bass? Jazz-like neck, I assume, but it seems a little weird.
