NBD - Custom Sandberg Booster fretless

When I placed an order for a customized Sandberg Booster, they told me it would take seven months. True to their word, seven months later, here it is. :hyper:

Most of the features were spec'd out using Sandberg's awesome online configurator (unlined fretless, ebony board, side marker lines, black finish & hardware), but there was one option not available on the configurator: I have an intense dislike of belly contours on bass bodies. All of the basses I own have slab bodies. So I asked if they would make mine a slab body, and they did!

I owned a fretted Booster for a while (bought from a TB'er, and later sold to a TB'er) and I thought it was a fantastic instrument (except for the body contours) but I'm primarily a fretless player.

I’m not a fretless guy, but that is a sexy slab of bass. Congrats!

That's really sharp. I bet it growls. Congrats and enjoy. I'm too dumb to know the name of that finish but I have a similarly textured (different color) bass that's open grain and thin coat paint, I love that, whatever it's called. It looks amazing in black. Dig in. Really cool choices.
