NBD (Divorce present content)

My divorce was finalized on May 2nd (Can you hear the cheers from behind your monitor..?) so now that the psychotic whirlwind has died off I decided to buy another bass. A couple of years ago I foolishly sold a Cobalt SR700 and almost immediately regretted it.

Trying to find another SR700 in either Amber or Colbalt was exhausting - they're out there but dealing with the few sellers wasn't a great experience to say the least. Looking around online and talking to people I found/heard about the SR870 and it seemed to fit my need.

I bought without trying out first, which I would normally never do, and I have to say after just a couple hours of playing the new 870 I am floored.

And you didn’t need to get permission!

Dang, I guess when I think about it, I ended up with 3 divorce basses.

Ex in my studio recently: Did you get more stuff? It looks like you got more stuff...
Me: nah... well, yeah, maybe, I guess a couple things... (hard to miss the Kay)

I have to be careful talking about the ex around Jeannie, 'cause she gets a little carried away sometimes... but my 20th Annivorcery was May 10th.

Seriously, I celebrate every day of life I get to live without that dish-throwin' psycho of a first wife in it. Even if I couldn't play a note.

Congrats on the NBD.

The bridges on these are really nice. A new addition for 2019.
