Congrats on the new bass- and even more so on the divorce!! (been there, done that). My collection has grown substantially since those old, troubled times. Onward and upward! My divorce was finalized on May 2nd (Can you hear the cheers from behind your monitor..?) so now that the psychotic whirlwind has died off I decided to buy another bass. A couple of years ago I foolishly sold a Cobalt SR700 and almost immediately regretted it.
Trying to find another SR700 in either Amber or Colbalt was exhausting - they're out there but dealing with the few sellers wasn't a great experience to say the least. Looking around online and talking to people I found/heard about the SR870 and it seemed to fit my need.
I bought without trying out first, which I would normally never do, and I have to say after just a couple hours of playing the new 870 I am floored.
