I was thinking hey, that's a nice looking bass right there.

Then I got curious and looked up the model, and found, no offense to yours mind you, photos on Sweetwater w/ their standard studio lighting & editing etc. And man oh man. Is it really that vivid with the deep, husky red down on the bottom? That is GORGEOUS.

Haha. The trick is to not get married until your in your 30’s. Men get better looking as they get older and as you get your crap together so you can obtain a more solid lady. Mine just asks that I take her on a vacation every now and than and not to spend more than 2000 every 6 months. I may break that rule sometimes... ... .

Let’s see my divorce was 10 years ago. I think my divorce got me two maybe three basses. I know I got a used Lakland 55-94 and a 90’s Stingray..... both were natural. Oh yeah and a Natural American Standard P Bass. I knew there were three.

My divorce was finalized on May 2nd (Can you hear the cheers from behind your monitor..?) so now that the psychotic whirlwind has died off I decided to buy another bass. A couple of years ago I foolishly sold a Cobalt SR700 and almost immediately regretted it.

Trying to find another SR700 in either Amber or Colbalt was exhausting - they're out there but dealing with the few sellers wasn't a great experience to say the least. Looking around online and talking to people I found/heard about the SR870 and it seemed to fit my need.

I bought without trying out first, which I would normally never do, and I have to say after just a couple hours of playing the new 870 I am floored.

Congrats on the new bass- and even more so on the divorce!! (been there, done that). My collection has grown substantially since those old, troubled times. Onward and upward!

I'm almost 41, have never married, and also never had kids. After having seen the majority of couples throughout my life, I don't regret my choices for a second.

I have long felt that with major life changes you should get something like a diploma.
Divorces
paying off a 30 year mortgage
surviving a major health crisis
having a child
losing a close loved one
etc

About the time you get a whole covered, it's your turn to die.
