NBD: Epiphone Embassy Pro

Played one of these at a jam session a few months back. The owner got it at GC, it had gotten dented while on the floor so they sold it to him for only $300  I really enjoyed getting the T-Bird tone without the ergonomic issues of an actual Bird.
I heard that T-Bird tone on a video but it's good to know from a member who has one!

I just ordered an Ivory Embassy Pro from Sweetwater. I'll have to wait 7 weeks for this color but it's worth it. Same color as my Matt Freeman P-Bass, which I love. I also like the fact they put it through a serious inspection before shipping and have great customer service.
That's where I bought mine, and it didn't disappoint. (Except for the strings).

This is pre mod, the tone pot was doa so I am wiring it VVT with a parelell/series switch. Even without rolling off the tone it's killer. Neck is suuuuuper easy to play
Just got mine today. Came early. Same color but the fret-board on is much more red in color. Love the way it plays and sounds. Made minors adjustments to the bridge (raised the saddles) and the bride PU, which I lowered a touch. Plays like a 32" scale IMO, which I like. It has a BIG sound so I don't have to play as hard to get big T-Bird like tone.

I'm with ya, being able to get a killer t bird sound without the goofy ergonomics is great. I'm really fond of the neck, easy to play and hold, fits my hand quite well

What are the EXACT model of tuners and where did you buy them? Are than lighter or heavier than the originals?

This thread is seriously giving me GAS! I like traditional/classic body shapes and Embassy with 2+2 headstock looks absolutely stunning in my books! From the clips I found it's the sound EXACTLY I'm looking for. I'm a P-Bass only guy and Thunderbird is(was) the only other bass that I really liked sonically. I'm not a big fan of TB looks and neck dive, so Embassy looks like exactly the bass I want!

Yea, I have one too and it's awesome. Love the new pickups, same from the T Bird Vintage Pro but in a much better body IMO. Has a killer neck too. Just put Chromes on mine and it sounds even better.
