After being on the road I finally got the time to set mine up. I put a set of Prosteels on it. Maybe not the best choice for this particular bass but a vast improvement over the stock strings. The tone is very full !

I'm doing that next week, essentially it's wiring both pickup into series, it's a built in boost. I did it with my tbird. it takes out the individual volumes and treats both humbuckers as one pickupNice @redstrand
I'm really like mine, same color as yours. I changed the tuners to Hipshot Lic cloverleaves.View attachment 3193139
Can you tell me more about the series parallel mod?

Yep.Played one of these at a jam session a few months back. The owner got it at GC, it had gotten dented while on the floor so they sold it to him for only $300I really enjoyed getting the T-Bird tone without the ergonomic issues of an actual Bird.
Was that a no-mod dropin? How does the coverage on the back of the headstock look?Nice @redstrand

Those look great! The stock tuners work well enough, but i may have to get a set of the Hipshots, they really compliment the vintage look of the bass.
