Has it been refinished or has it been languishing underneath someone's bed? That clear coat looks almost too nice to be true.

Someone has played your new bass very gingerly for the last 45 years!
It looks almost exactly like mine did when I bought it, except for the white pickguard. Mine was black.
Hope you get the forty years of love out of it that I have from mine..
