So, when I bought the Mike Dirnt Precision in my avatar, I tried several other Precisions, including a Squier Classic Vibe 70's P. After putting half-rounds on the Dirnt for a smoother sound, I thought "Well, it would be cool to have one Precision with flats, and one with rounds. Maybe I'll just get the Squier in the near future, and upgrade it with an EMG Geezer Butler." So, I watched various websites and visited various music stores, but never pulled the trigger.
Then, I thought "Well, since I was going to mod it anyway, for the price of a new Squier, I could buy a used MIM, and modify THAT." (We know where this is heading, don't we?) So, I watched the websites and visited music stores some more, but never pulled the trigger.
Then, I thought "Well, for the price of a used MIM, and the new pickup, and a new bridge, and a new pickguard, I'm getting closer to a used MIA." So, I watched the websites, and visited the local music stores, and eventually found this:
It's a 2015, and in just about perfect condition (a few surface scratches in the back), and came with all the case candy. When I went to the local GC to pick it up, the guy who took it in from the previous owner told me that it had been purchased by a regular customer, who bought both this bass and a AVRI Jazz (new) at the same time; the customer then returned this one (at a significant loss, I'm sure) because he didn't feel the neck fit his hand. His loss is my gain (but if he's on TalkBass and reads this thread: THANKS!).

these are great basses to own & play.
