NBD Fender Heritage 60s Precision Bass MIJ

I had major GAS for the new MIJ Heritage Series Precision Bass, mainly because their specs are more accurate than the American Original series basses...its light, less than 9 pounds, the fit and finish are amazing and it sounds great. Flatwounds are ordered!

No extra fees...got it through Reverb. It actually came quicker than my last purchase from Musicians' Friend!!

Congrats ! A classic color scheme for a Gen 2 Precision Bass, and I really prefer the thinner fretwire.

Unless someone can redirect me, it's really aggravating that they closed down the Fender Japan website. Or have I just not found it again ?

It's advertised as 1.65 but it's every bit of 1 3/4 at the nut.

This is the best Fender tort guard I've seen. Not quite as good as a Spitfire but darn close.

Here's an article about the "Heritage Series" instruments. They're definitely more 'accurate' than the current "American Original" Series, and the build quality sure feels better than the 2012 American Vintage '63 P I had with a bad truss rod...
