I just acquired a nice 2019 Mod Shop Precision with a ‘63 neck profile and pickup. The body is made of ash and is finished in “Amber” which was only available for a limited time. Paired with the rosewood fingerboard and tortoiseshell pickguard, it reminds me a lot of the basses that John Deacon played. I’ve always liked that look. Best of all, this is the lightest Fender bass that I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a few over the years. It weighs it in at only 7.75 pounds!

Below are the mandatory pictures, including one of it next to my all original 1972 Precision (because the only thing better than a P-Bass with tort is two P-Basses with tort )

Thanks! I was concerned about balance with it being so light, but with the lightweight tuners it's pretty comfortable on a strap.

I almost bought that bass (off Reverb) about five different times.
Now that I see it, I'm not sure what I was thinking by not buying it ;)
Congrats.

I had it on my watch list for a while and almost pulled the trigger a few times. When the seller dropped the price I made my move. He said he has an almost identical one he plans to list if you want to follow his shop. I don't know if it's as light as this one.
