I just acquired a nice 2019 Mod Shop Precision with a ‘63 neck profile and pickup. The body is made of ash and is finished in “Amber” which was only available for a limited time. Paired with the rosewood fingerboard and tortoiseshell pickguard, it reminds me a lot of the basses that John Deacon played. I’ve always liked that look. Best of all, this is the lightest Fender bass that I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a few over the years. It weighs it in at only 7.75 pounds!
Below are the mandatory pictures, including one of it next to my all original 1972 Precision (because the only thing better than a P-Bass with tort is two P-Basses with tort )
