I think the challenge with pine is that it’s very soft. Dents easySweet! The headstock appears to be matching in the photo but then it looks like woodgrain. Hmm?
I just recently discovered roasted pine makes an excellent body wood for basses. Is roasted pine a new thing or has it been around awhile? I just bought a Mike Lull P bass with a roasted pine body and roasted maple neck, like yours. It's now one of my favorite basses and sooooo lightweight. However, due to the more reasonable pricing, I will likely go Fender Mod Shop for my next GAS fix.
That's pretty damn fast...Love my Mod Shop bass too, took 29 days from order till delivery for mine
