I made the mistake of playing this in the store as it haunted me for the next week afterward. I would even wake up in the middle of the night dreaming about it lol! Only one way to exorcise that demon...had to snatch it up. I’ve never dropped this kind of coin on a Bass (around $2000 is my usual limit) and am still struggling a bit with that. I never know if I love a bass until I hear it on a gig with a full band so Im looking for ward to gigs next week.

Here’s a review and sound clip:

Here she is:

Congrats on the NBD. I dig the bridge! How is the neck? Also, is the build of a superior quality (for instance, better than an Elite)?

The neck is really comfy and has been sanded down. The build quality is on par with Elite imo. The materials are superior to Elite. The neck is quarter sawn and the bass is the most resonant I have ever played. I’m still getting used to how resonant it is actually. The pickup is hand wound and there are harmonics and layers within the tone for days. It can do really bright, or darker P-Bass thump. The bridge is actually really cool imo. It is really high mass, allows for tons of string spacing options, and sustains for days. The pickguard is a work of damn art. It is 4 layers and has the most gorgeous yellowish brown in 2 of the layers. I dig the contour on the neck pocket as well...really comfy when you are playing in the upper registers.

Beautiful bass - Congratulations!!
I got a G&L LB-100 (P-bass) a couple of months ago. It has similar qualities in sound/sustain/playability! In fact, from the recording you did, our basses sound quite similar - Excellent from bottom to top. There is nothing like a great P-Bass!
