NBD - Fender Player Jazz Capri Orange

It’s a Fender Player we all know these by now. The Pau Ferro is really nice but could be a bit darker. Feels great, sounds great.

A maple board would be so great on these basses.

Actually I much prefer the pau ferro on this color then I would have darker Rosewood, looks fantastic already.

Congrats on a killer looking jazz! I bought a player series jazz several months ago and it really is a PLAYER! So much nicer than a 97 MIM jazz I once owned.

I didn't realize the player series is offering capri orange. Do they offer a p-bass in the same color and where did you get it?

P bass is available in Capri Orange, Jaguar, too, from zZounds.
Nice to know they're finally bringing this color and Silver (available soon) to the Player line.
Funny...zZounds is selling them but neither color is showing up on the Fender site.

I take mine out for spin every now and then, folks always like it especially when I play it during the day time... it’s a bit darker then the Player but it’s one of my favorite colors on a bass now!

zZounds has them for preorder but I found this one on reverb. They have the estimated shipping date as 7/4/19. And they have the color for the P. Matching set maybe?

I think it's because I first started really getting an eye for what basses look like when rosewood was considered a cheaper fretboard wood, but I personally dig the pau ferro look. It's underutilized these days, mind you; its natural beauty can often be further enhanced to a gorgeous degree with the right kind of oil treatment or stain, but I can see some purdy grains happening in yours as it is, and it complements that orange beautifully. Nice purchase!

Zzounds is backordered on Capri p bass. Said it was expected July 23rd .we shall see

Personally I'm seeing a black block inlay maple fretboard really working on this.
