NBD - Fender Player Jazz Capri Orange

Is the V-4B sitting on an Ampeg rug? How neat is that! Congrats on your awesome setup.
I have a friend that owns a music store. :)

I recently purchased my dream bass, for a ton of $. But I went out and ordered a player Jazz the next week because I don’t have a J in the collection. Gonna put Aguilar hum canceling pickups in her.
I am really liking the stock pups but know I could probably upgrade. Aggies are definitely on the list

Nice Sleep hat atop the orange stack too.
Saw them finally in Buffalo. What an experience.

How did you find that?!? I looked everywhere for an orange jazz before I bought mine. I ended up buying and sunburst and I love it. That is a beautiful bass though.
I had no idea they were even coming out with the color. I was looking at the player series on zZounds and saw they had the color for preorder. I preordered a P but then did some digging on Reverb and saw a jazz come up in capri orange. They keep popping up one at a time on reverb and no P basses I've seen yet.

Hi outoftune :)

Sorry for coming late to the party!

Pics because that’s what we all really want:

Orange = :drool::drool::drool:

This gets you an extra NBD carrot cake! :D

The Pau Ferro is really nice but could be a bit darker

Just oil the fretboard each time you change the strings. (I hope you play rounds :D)

It will become darker!

Boiled linseed oil works fine and is cheaper than the lemon oil they sell in guitar stores.

Have fun and happy (late) NBD!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

i'm a sucker for orange - I wear it every day. Turns out this P-bass cousin is more than just a pretty face (and punches above its weight for playability and giggability)

I have big plans for mine: Wd music 1-ply Tort pickguard, Hipshot bridge, Gotoh tuners, and eventually new pickups (if I feel it's necessary). Since I only play high on the neck, I'm considering attaching an ashtray & pup cover.

Edit: is it just me, or is fender's pau ferro fingerboards looking better than about 2 years ago?
