Little demo video.
I plan on putting a Pure Vintage '63 pickup in it. Not that it really needs it.
One of those came stock with my 2013 Am Vintage Hot Rod P/J, BIG sounding pickups.

.Lovely one. The basics stills the best, this is my lemma. I just didn't purchased a Player Jazz because the price here in Brazil was prohibitive. But i never had any single problem with MiM Fenders. I had a '98 Strato and a 2010 Jazz.
I agree. The stock P pickups sound really good. I I went through a couple different pickups in mine and ended up going back to the stock because it just sounded better than the others.
Different strokes???. Of course, I love the vintage tone of PV63 pups.
I have almost no problems dialing in my HXS when I use my stock Player but always tweaking stuff for my PV63 pickup bass. Hmmm.
I much prefer the modern tone of the stock so I may switch back to them.
Whatever moves you.... PV63s are for those who love the old school vibe.
Little demo video.
My Sabbath/ Ozzy tribute is doing N. I.B. I plan on doing a little bass solo in the beginning paying homage to Geezer and at the same time channeling Billy Sheehan and Ariel Bender. I wasn't going to publish this but what the heck, warts and all.
Amp is Fender 800 Stage on the dirty Orange setting #35. Using WARM Jet Phaser effect pedal.Sounds great. What are your amp & settings?
