NBD Fender Player Precision

I've had my player P for about two years and it's a very good bass. Was intending on changing pickups but the alnico 5s it came with sound great. I did some cosmetic changes but that just me. I also had it pleked and it became an even nicer bass. Enjoy!

Lovely one. The basics stills the best, this is my lemma. I just didn't purchased a Player Jazz because the price here in Brazil was prohibitive. But i never had any single problem with MiM Fenders. I had a '98 Strato and a 2010 Jazz.

I was lucky to get mine before the major price increase(s) here in the US. I upgraded the pups to PV 63s and replaced the neck with a Jazz. It is now a true "Player" for me, especially with LB flats ;).

I agree. The stock P pickups sound really good. I I went through a couple different pickups in mine and ended up going back to the stock because it just sounded better than the others.

I have almost no problems dialing in my HXS when I use my stock Player but always tweaking stuff for my PV63 pickup bass. Hmmm.

Different strokes??? :). Of course, I love the vintage tone of PV63 pups.

I much prefer the modern tone of the stock so I may switch back to them.

My Sabbath/ Ozzy tribute is doing N. I.B. I plan on doing a little bass solo in the beginning paying homage to Geezer and at the same time channeling Billy Sheehan and Ariel Bender. I wasn't going to publish this but what the heck, warts and all.

The PV 63 pickup arrived, hope to get it installed in the next few days.
