NBD! Fender Precision

Man, I am in love.. I recently got a Lakland Decade, and thought I loved it for a few weeks, but once the Honeymoon period wore off I just couldn't dig it. I threw a For Trade deal out there, got some great offers, and then got thrown a Highway 1 Precision. I wanted a MIA P, but knigel threw in some goodies I couldn't resist. Plus, this thing is just smoking... both in looks and playability. I'm in shock, I've been in such a love affair with my MIA P, I didn't think I'd find something like it. Well, now I have a great back up and/or main player.

I'm in heaven right now. This is definitely a better feeling than that Lakland, it doesn't feel like an artificial love. I couldn't be happier.

Sadly, I don't have pictures of the bass as I'm stuck in my dorm room with nothing more than a cell phone... I'll attempt some here soon, but right now, I'm stuck. Here are some of knigel's from his trade offer.

I'm undecided on the white pickup cover, but I'm kinda digging it.

My P has completely displaced my Rickenbacker in terms of live use... it's just got the magic. I don't necessarily believe all P's are created equal, but when you get one with the right neck (for you!) and a good pickup, nothing beats them for rock and roll (and probably a lot of other stuff I don't play).

Literally, yes it is. Metaphorically, no its not. ;) The Classic Vibe hasn't left my closet since I bought it nearly 2 years ago, and the neck on it is pretty jacked... I may use the body for something soon though. The MIA, HW1, and the fretless beast are my main 3. Sadly the fless is FUBAR, so I need to get it professionally setup and such.

And as in mods: Nothing too serious. I'm not a big fan of BadAss bridges, so that may need to come off. I wouldn't mind a drop D tuner and I'm thinking of a pinup girl for it somewhere. I'm not sure yet though. I'll be sure to keep you informed.

Amen to that! Legit rock and roll is something I'm dying to get into. I've mainly been an R&B soul type cat, but I really want to broaden my spectrum band wise. I've been looking everywhere!

This one will keep the roundwounds, and my Gravity picks will wear the pain down quick. ;)

Thanks my man! I'm still undecided on the pickup cover, but for now its not going anywhere. And the tort stays... period.

Throw it out there for trade. I did, and don't regret it. jspayde has an awesome nitro blue Roadworn on the forums right now. He offered it to me, but it wasn't quite my dig. Not "old school" enough for my 18 year old self. :smug:

I will say, knigel threw in both a VT Bass and an El Grande Fuzz in the deal. I have longed for a VT for a very long time, and the fuzz was just an added bonus. He is loving his Decade, and I'm loving my P.

This is the only time I hate dorm life... this headphone amp is so annoying. I just want to break windows and such! :bassist:

I'm digging the white covers, too. They'll stay for now. :bassist:

But the CV's neck is just... f'ed to say the least. I think the truss rod is dead. The action is sooo high and the bridge is as low as it will go, and the nut it cut perfectly. Its a POS. I will give it some credit though... I got it at a yard sale, and it sparked my P bass love.

been trying for awhile now. ill find another pbass and it will be awesome. sounds like you got a hell of a deal there, congrats!

Geeze... My GAS for a fender P has just been reinstated:P. May have to sell my Schecter and an old bike and start seriously looking for one of those hwy ones... Really digging the burst and tort!!

You thought about flats?
