Looks like a Stealth Bomber or something, just a wicked profile. Almost bought one but unfortunately my ear remains really good but no so my intonation, which is a bad combo, as the % I can hear that I am out starts making me seasick as I play, LOL. And rolling to finger "into" intonation only works with certain fair.

Love what you're playing in your demo, from 0:45 to 1:02 my foot starting tapping on its own to your groove in part because you're getting THAT sound, don't you dare change those DTF for rounds, you're there. All you need is to record with a better interface to get the p bass booming and pumping, but your playing and your strings sound great, you're doing that beast justice, I'm envious. Congrats and enjoy!

Thanks @Son of Wobble ! After playing it for most of the afternoon yesterday, I decided to leave the DTF's on it for awhile and simply enjoy playing it. Thank you for the encouragement. I look forward to working on the fretless as my primary instrument. I recorded this with my iPhone propped up next to my reference monitor. I have an interface but just used the iPhone mic for this quick video. Going to try and make time to do some "proper" recording soon. Thanks again!

Yeah, I could tell you were live-mic'ing the bass, that you used an iPhone is all the more impressive as you did a good job of conveying the inherent tone from there to my middlin' laptop speakers. I always used rounds when I messed with a fretless, but I think you've got a better tone going with your current set up, listening to you actually made me wanna play, so here I sit at 330 am, picking out that snaking Tony Franklin riff from the video I posted.

That's awesome! I'll post another video at some point as a follow up. I like doing small videos. I use them as practice tools to self critique and make corrections!

One of the pics I took of the Firm in Toledo. Big hair indeed. Midnight Moonlight really showed off his fretless skills.

The TF model has the pickup selector switch. So everything is on/off with no blending as you would with a Volume/Volume setup. I guess I can blend them together with pickup height adjustments.... I always favor the neck pickup with the bridge pickup rolled off a touch. In this video, I'm using the neck pickup only.
