NBD! Fretless Status Graphite with a very unique finish!

An amazing finish for an amazing bass - Congrats, and Enjoy!

I've been eyeballing a Streamline for some time now - a fretted 4-string, in silver graphite finish, with chrome hardware & red wraparound LEDs.

Did you order yours direct or through a dealer, and what was your wait time?

Direct from Rob. He estimated 10 weeks at first, but some difficult family issues came up so his entire production was delayed by about a month. I think he's back on track now, but I think I ordered during a less busy season too. Best to ask him direct.

It's blurple!!!
Perfect name for the finish!

Nice

Whats the scale?
Should be the standard 34". Other than the finish, everything else is stock.

I know a really short snippet isn't a proper demo, but I got home later than expected so I just took it out for a bit to show my girlfriend.

This is the first time I've gotten very consistently comparable tapping vs plucking volume levels. I'm not sure why this bass taps so nicely. I'm still impressed by the clarity. Unfortunately that also means any fingering mistakes show up easily - you can hear some off notes in the video.

I checked the Status site, but could not find any mention of a colour changing finish. I'm asumung it's a hologram? Any more info on this? It's an amazing instrument. Congrats!

I had a Streamline 5 built with a translucent orange finish. Depending on the light and angle, it varies in color from dark yellow, to orange, to deep red, and brown. Just the nature of the translucent tint on the woven carbon body.
