Hello to all. I just purchased this G&L JB2 and it's amazing. The color, the feel of the unfinished neck and playability of a bass under $500 with a semi-hard case. I bought this as a backup, but who knows...this should be great for the outdoor gigs.

Thanks for the comment. Hard to believe I'm saying this but it feels and plays almost as good as my custom built bass. Since most of our gigs are outside from March to October, I think this is the bass I'll be playing (I'll obviously be changing the stock strings to GHS Pressure Wounds)

These are really nice basses. I used to have one in the natural finish. Pickups were a bit too hot for my liking and given it was a tribute, the pickups were not easy to replace given G&L made then non-standard size, but from a fit and finish perspective they are incredible and it played like a dream.
