I bought this Gibson DC Junior Tribute about a month ago.
It's really great!

I've never really looked at Gibson before, but I'm happy and impressed.
I play short scales, so when I spied this one in the store, I decided to give it a go.

Coming from Fender style instruments, this was instantly comfortable, which surprised me.
Really well balanced, gorgeous to look at, and the sound is huge.
I especially love the neck, it just feels great in the hand.

‘Congrats! You found a winner! Looks great too.

Congrats and welcome to the club! (I don’t think there’s an actual club tho lol)

I love mine so much that I’ve been thinking hard about buying a second one and routing it for J pups so I can have that sound when I need it, on a platform that just feels perfect in the hand. :bassist::drool:

Congratulations! That’s a beautiful DC. Gibson makes great basses. Every Gibson I own have wonderful necks.

If you only play short scales, maybe start hunting for one of these. They only made 400 of them, so they’re pretty rare. One occasionally shows up in the classifieds. They’re thunderous.

I fell in love with mine , and it’s nice to see others fall for it too . The feel of the neck got me , and that it does have a great sound , and is lightweight and balanced .
My only regret was not buying one sooner .
I did put a chrome cover and surround on mine .
Loved it so much I bought an SG bass , but I much prefer the Jr .
I tired an SG bass and loved it too.
The tone of the SG surprised me, as I had heard they were muddy, but the one I tried wasn't.
But like you, I prefer the Jr. Especially in the way it balances and doesn't neck dive.
