Hey everyone! My birthday recently came and went so I decided to use my birthday money to buy something totally badass; my first Gibby!!! Since Krist is one of my favourite bassists (and, in my opinion, one of the most underrated), I decided to purchase his signature RD. Another reason I had GAS for this axe was because I've always been a huge fan of the old school RDs, mainly because they look cool and are built like tanks.
So the bass arrived two days ago and I have been playing it non-stop. Although many people are against the choice of pickups for this bass, I personally think they sound wonderful, especially when coupled with the 10 pounds and 11 ounces of maple and metal the bass brings to the table. The only complaint I have about this bass is the bridge. I've always thought the stock 3-point bridges were a bit wimpy...
If you guys want pictures, I shall post them tomorrow as it is quite late right now and I would rather wait for better lighting conditions in which to take the pictures in, in order to make the bass look as majestic (yes, I just used that word to describe a bass
) as possible.
