Very awesome...
I love my RD Artist Bass!

Congrats on the new bass!
Here's that drop in replacement Hipshot bridge on my Thunderbird. Not cheap but worth every penny. Tremendous improvement over that Gibson three point thing.

That is one signature bass i would own, such an underated bass player and such an incredible bass.
Those pickguards look great! And by posting this picture, this whole thread probably hates you now because you have two of these things![]()
Congrats on the new bass!!! I bought one last year as a b-day gift for myself and really enjoy playing it. Yes it is heavy but it's not bad with a wide strap. I modded mine with a Hipshot bridge, Dimarzio and Bill Lawrence pickups, push/pull coil tap volume knobs, added a kill switch, new pickguard made, and moved the input to the end of the body. This thing sounds mean and nasty and I get a huge variety of sounds our of it.
Enjoy your bass and play the Hell out of it!!

Has anyone here owned/played both a vintage and KN sig RD Standard? I'm curious to know if the necks are similar in shape/width/depth. I already know the scale is .5" shorter on the new one. I do remember loving the neck shape on my vintage RDs.
OUTSTANDING!Happy new bass day!
