Have been playing vintage Hagstroms for years, and a (new) Viking bass came up at a crazy good price shipped, so I grabbed it. I had played them before, obviously not really close to the vintage ones but still very cool aesthetically.
Very impressed on how well it plays out of the box,
low action, great fretwork, straight neck, no buzz/ weirdness.
Some great tones available at a glance, hum bucking positions on the 5 way switch sound best- will dive in further but will probably end up doing some mods for fun.
