NBD half a 1965 Gibson Thunderbird II

I posted this in the Thunderbird club while getting it in working order, now I'd like to introduce this Fenderbird to the rest of Talkbass.
I bought this off Reverb a few weeks ago, a complete 1965 Gibson Thunderbird body with a added 60's mudbucker. I questioned my sanity at the time but it sang it's siren song and I could not resist. All I can say it I'm so glad I bought this misfit toy it's a monster!

does the fender neck/headstock on there help with the neck-dive? It looks like you shed some weight with that smaller headstock and the p-bass neck.

I doubt it. Thunderbird necks are narrow and not too thick, whereas a P bass neck is wide and should be heavier.
