OK...That means it can be easily removed and left off. I wonder what that would look like? Otherwise it's a very elegant looking instrument.

Thanks! What you call "medallion" is a removable wooden oval that contains a "meridian" that is the logo of the brand! If you don't like it Davide will sure take that off and place the logo anywhere else, that could be 12th fret, headstock or you choose. Personally I like it a lot: that is a very original characteristic of the brand!

Go figure: on the active basses there even is an internal switchable led that retro-illuminate the logo, so on the stage you have it lighted!!! Very kitsch but nevertheless a new idea in a world dominated by jazz clones and very few good news!!!
