NBD! I think I've finally found my #2!

I have been playing my main bass (Warmoth P Bass) for about a year now and I've been looking for a good #2 bass. I've tried Carvin/Kiesel Basses, MIM and USA Fenders, Ibanez's, ECT.... And I could not find one that played right. Well today I have. My local music store has had a 2014 Squier Classic Vibe 50's P Bass for about 4 years in the store. Everytime I go in the store I played it, but have not given any thought about buying it. Well today I pulled the trigger and I could not be happier. I brought the bass home and set it up and it plays great. I also took the pick guard off to reveal the beautiful grain on the pine body. Check it out!

Thank you. I thought the factory white pickguard was ugly so I took it off. It's a shame the newer CV 50's P's are using basswood now.

Nice find, I am glad you landed on something you can use as your#2. One question, I too play a Warmoth P Bass as my number one. See avatar...but the only thing I could find that was up to snuff was another Warmoth P Bass. Was that a consideration?

They are really nice. It has a nice chunky neck that I love. This is my first single coil type P Bass. It definitely sounds more vintage than my other P Bass.

I had another Warmoth P built for me as my #2, but it just did not play good to me. Idk why. I just sold it and tried a Carvin then a USA American Pro P Bass. Both just did not play right so I got this one and it really plays nice.

Warmoth is way better than any US Fender or Carvin IMO. I think with my second Warmoth, the luthier just threw it together without checking everything.
