1976 Ibanez Ripper replica! So cool. Needs a little
TLC as the jack is crappy but everything works and sounds
Huge!

If your Ripper is anything like the one I had I think you will find those humongous pickups are, in reality, single coil pickups hiding underneath big chrome covers. Many of the Japanese basses used the same pickups. In fact, my Greco Rickenbacker copy has one of those pickups in the neck position! That being said, the old single coil pickups sound okay.

Nice bass. Congratulations!

She’s a rare one apparently. Surprised I ended up with it given the interest. Guy has it strung all messy and the input jack is a mess but minor detail. I’m
More of a jazz neck guy so this is a little chunky for me but it balances well...light isn’t a word I would use to describe it though lol

Still trying to figure out the controls. Pretty sure it’s volume tone tone. Three way switch works great. I’m
Not sure if the bridge pickup has a weak output or if that the nature of the beast. It’s definitely lacking the volume the neck or blended position gives. Definitely thinner and more burpy. The neck pickup is
Muddy and thumpy. Really grindy.

first imprsssion...looks cool. Sounds cool. Plays decently. Needs a setup but ‍♂️

I remember when these showed up at the store, I was shocked Ibanez went through the trouble. Definitely a cool bass and worth putting in working order.
