NBD. Ibanez Ripper!

Neat. I knew they existed. Never seen one in the wild.
If your Ripper is anything like the one I had I think you will find those humongous pickups are, in reality, single coil pickups hiding underneath big chrome covers. Many of the Japanese basses used the same pickups. In fact, my Greco Rickenbacker copy has one of those pickups in the neck position! That being said, the old single coil pickups sound okay.

That era lawsuit Ibanez builds were great. I had a Jazz with great detail and an old bandmate had a Tele deluxe from about same years he won't part with.. When I see that old style logo I always check them out. Have fun with it!
first tried a ripper in a band rehearsal in summer '73. the guitar player had one on-hand, & it was love at first listen. that sound has stayed with me. Congrats!
I had the down spec model of that. Was branded as a Cimar. Heavier than my amp and twice as tough.

Surprised that they used bigger and different mudbucker style pickups. Also the body shape and scratch plate seems a little different. I guess this bass will sound good. Good luck with the bass!
