Found this today in a local Pawn Shop, 2018 Fender American Performer Precision with Fender Hard/Flite case. It is now my second PJ that I own ....Im thinking about a Tort pickguard for it

Yup on the pickup. Black all the way on the guard. And cut off the resistor on the tone knob. It's terrible.

Wow. Great looking bass. Congratulations. I think it would look good with a tort pickguard if it had a rosewood fretboard. That black guard just belongs on that bass. But it's not my bass, so have at it

congrats on your new instrument, spazz! i agree with you, PJs (two pickups) are the bomb! yours is the bomb! i wouldn't change a thing, so i'm with several of the others who also have good taste, but you could get your ugly tort thing and then you'd have two!

I too prefer 2 pickups. The P bass takes a back seat to J basses, but a P/J is very welcome around here.

Agreed! Like many, I lean on the P pickup and add the J to taste.
