NBD - Jetglo Rickenbacker 4001c64s

Hi All,

I've been eyeing this bass at my local shop and finally pulled the trigger today.

Here's the story on this bass. It was sold back in 2007, played for around 30 minutes, then stashed in a case for 18 years. Came up for sale at a decent price at my local shop and I made the move after trying it for around 5 minutes. Unless Rickenbacker gets a wild hair, I don't see this model being built again. I'm stoked to play it at my first originals band next gig.

Congrats on your new (to you) 4001! That is a rare bass indeed. Play it in good health and enjoy!

Well, given that they've reissued the 4005 - something folk swore would never happen - I don't know what's stopping them. If Fender can revisit old models, why can't RIC? The days of the fear of insulting the fanbois by being progressive are surely gone, now with BH at the helm. Honestly, that guy's been like a breath of fresh air through the company.
