NBD: Kiesel IC5 :-(

Another 2 weeks, no word, no bass.

So, I gave them a chance and then they drop the ball, again.

Sadly, while my numerous emails go unanswered, the only time i get a response from Kiesel is when I post on these forums.
So with this post, I should get an email from Kiesel tomorrow or Monday.

Lemme repeat that,
THE ONLY TIME I GET A RESPONSE FROM KIESEL IS AFTER I POST ON THE FORUMS. EMAILS ARE IGNORED UNTIL A NEW FORUM POST.

Aktooally,
While Kiesel makes custom intruments, not every intrument they make is custom ;-)
So please stop insinuating that my instrument is custom. It is not.

I notice you and the other TB’ers who are also members of Kiesel’s forums are the only ones who dont see what Kiesel did as being shady.
In the cannabis indistry, we call these people ‘industry shills’
Kiesel never had to engage in this forum because they have you guys constantly defending their company for them.
Are we starting this again?

“A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps or gives credibility to a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization.”

I’m willing to bet these the members that defend Kiesel don’t necessarily have a vested interest in the company...they are probably just satisfied customers. Last I remember, this isn’t a bad thing.

I have no knowledge of any person or interests in Kiesel. I am simply a satisfied customer who really likes his Carvin bass and has had no problems at all with the company!

This almost brings us back around to the age old argument of what constitutes new vs demo vs used when it comes to instruments.
Yeah, I noticed that some of the NAMM instruments don't have any special non-returnable options so it must be that they have been handled, show signs of wear, etc. that makes them non-returnable.

Any Kiesel fans wanna buy this?

New Kiesel Single Coil Soapbars installed by Kiesel.
This instrument passed Kiesel QC twice with flying colors.
Not sure if this is the case with yours... but I had a stingray HH around 2010 that was bought brand new from gc and had to be ordered in. When I got it, I found that from about the 5th fret down on the low B and the low E just seemed dead. There wasnt any real tone to those notes, they just seemed dead. A dull note would ring briefly and the fundamental would fade within a second. It was like the classic dead spot on a P bass.... but it was frets 1-5 on B and E strings. They gave it a full setup at GC and had their tech check it out... no dice. They sent it back to musicman who said the same. I wound up returning it.
To be fair, I also had 3 friends/bandmates try it without telling them exactly what was wrong and they all noticed the same thing.
I think it was just a bunk neck.

No, not the same.
The construction is actually excellent.
Fretwork is perfect.
