NBD knackered old SB-1

Knacker is an archaic term for an old horse, "the knackers yard" (aka dog food factory) was where they sent them when too old to work. Knackered now just means beaten up/old

Yes that’s how it’s used now although I think the original meaning means to be tired from sexual activity, though this might be an urban myth.

Now I’m hoping nobody had sex with my bass

In Australia there is another meaning. If you are male, the place you are least likely to want to be kicked is the knackers, if you get my drift.
The term does also exist for being worn out as well.

Here’s a pic of it with its sister. It’s just come back from my tech who has fully shielded it with conductive paint and added some more ground points, so it’s whisper quiet now.

And here’s a little jam I just made (ignore the frequent mistakes, I was making it up on the fly and I’m useless)
