I just finished building this for myself, there's a build thread over in luthiers corner if anyone wants to see how I made it.
The brief was to make a copy of my trusty mim p which I love, but it's too heavy, so to make something lighter.
Specs:
Body: European lime (heavily chambered) with walnut top
Neck: Sycamore with walnut & black veneers. Carbon fibre tow beneath truss rod for stiffening. Walnut headstock veneer.
Fretboard: pale moon ebony with luminlay glow in the dark side dots
Nut: Tusq
Tuners: Gotoh resolite
Bridge: standard fender style bent plate (hosco)
Dunlop recessed straploks
Pickups: Delano
Aluminium knobs & string tree
Finish: a/c lacquer high gloss
Weight just over 7.5lb

Plays and feels just like a p bass should, except delightfully lighter! Thanks for looking.

That is really beautiful and nicely done. Did you consider going through body for the string loading? That is the only thing I would have done differently, but I still give you a "10" on this one!
