NBD! MIM Geddy

My poor man's Geddy. It's my number one.

Well… almost 40 posts without seeing a single pic of the bass… please OP could you be serious ?
Okay, I’ll be MORE serious - full disclosure. I’m seriously disabled by stroke and permanently confined to bed 24/7, as well as being visually impaired. The only way for me to get a pic of the actual bass is to ask one of my visitors to pose the bass, or pose with it, for me so I can get a pic using the iPad I’m typing on now, lying on my back in bed. At the moment, it’s 4-30 AM GMT, I’m here on my own and the bass is in its bag and out of my reach until about nine this morning, when there will be someone here to help me again. There are people here on TB who know me well and are aware of my physical situation.

Sorry, I have no way of weighing the bass, although I did comment on the apparent weight in an earlier post. I would say that based on my own experiences, the weight seems fairly average for a Fender, not particularly light but not “a boat anchor” either.

Man, I hope you're feeling better, take care of yourself, and get well soon!
That GL can wait. :)

Sorry about that. People like me are just playing around with the 'pics or it didn't happen' schtick. We believe you and want you to enjoy your bass however you can and want.

OK... Since OP doesn't wanna show Y'all his MIM Geddy Lee that he purchased as an "investment..."

Here's mine. Unplayed. Although... I did change the pickguard to a transparent one. Just to show the graphic.

That CNC hole really sucks...

My apologies, my friend. I just broke my own rule. One of the things that irritates me the most.

I did it. I'm a horrible person.
I'm sorry.

Hoping that you feel/get better, SOON.

Peace,
Marc

Hey, that’s all fine. No problem at all. I get that, of course. I hope nobody thinks I was offended or anything - I wasn’t.

Thanks to all who posted to comment.

Can I ask who made your pickguard and how the fit is? I want a replacement for my CIJ and the cheap ones I have bought have not lined up at all.

It's from Invalid Link Removed. No pickguards I came across would fit the Geddy. I ordered one from them specific to the bass and year, and it absolutely fit perfectly with no modifications. They can work from a template if needed, and have screws in colors. You can get whatever kind of color combo you want. I highly recommend them.

Marc! I got an idea for that CNC hole!

Put some Big Money in there, like a Canadian penny or nickel, whatever fits..
or...
Maybe a small capacitor, or other electronic part, that fits nicely, and goes with the motif.
BTW, I really dig your clear PG idea!

(With a k, here ;))
