For $300 it's a steal!
Hey, for $400 it would've been.
Get it set up professionally, if the frets need dressing, get that done, get the truss and intonation set up, put on your favorite strings.... I would do all that before replacing the bridge. That bass, perfectly setup should be slamming. Enjoy and play the crap out of it!
And that's necessary when someone says "look at my new bass" how?I prefer the CIJ black and gold.![]()
Those are really nice, I had the 5 string in sunburst and it was one of the best basses I've ever played - it wasn't the right bass for me, but even still I regret parting with it 'cause it was SWEET and got lots of compliments for sound and looks. So, I just bought a Fender Active Jazz Bass Deluxe MIM from a friend, the action is a little high and needs some adjustments here and there but I think I got a pretty decent deal for it (I paid 300 dlls for it) Ive really liked it so far,let me know what you think about these basses!View attachment 599063
Well, maybe not quite like Willie's guitar - I don't even know how you make holes like that (even on an acoustic)!Looking good, do a full setup on that sucker and play it till it looks like Willie Nelson's guitar!

And, unless you've played HIS bass, how do you KNOW you prefer it?
Rude.
